  • Project background and context

This project aims to provide a comprehensive overview of Mr. Beast YouTube channel, with a focus on key metrics such as video performance, audience sentiment analysis, channel growth, video content analysis, trending topics, thumbnail evaluation and a comparison with similar channels. The goal of this project is to provide insights into the channel’s strengths and areas for improvement, and to inform strategic decisions related to content creation, audience engagement, and monetization.

By leveraging data from the YouTube API and other relevant sources, this project will provide a data-driven analysis of the channel’s performance, including metrics such as views, watch time, engagement, and duration.

The project will also examine the channel’s growth patterns, including the factors that influence subscriber growth and retention. Furthermore, the project will perform a detailed analysis of the channel’s video content, including an examination of the types of videos that are most popular, the themes and topics that are trending, and the factors that drive engagement and viewership.

Finally, the project will provide an overview of similar channels and their performance, highlighting opportunities for growth and areas for improvement. This analysis will be used to inform strategic decisions related to content creation, audience engagement, and monetization, and to help the channel stay ahead of the curve in an increasingly competitive online video landscape

  • Conclusions

    • From the analysis we could understand that a good most of the videos that perform well have:​

      • Between 30 to 45 characters​.
      • Duration around 7 and 15 minutes​.
      • A title with a clear message addressing what is the video about​.

    • Most recent videos with a good performance showed a thumbnail compose by:​

      • At least one Key participant of the channels in it preferably with his face​
      • Good quality picture, but not over treated.​
      • A good balance between exaggerating the message that you want to pass, without overworking it.​
      • One or two words maximum on the sides or corners.​

    • The sentiment analysis shows that Mr. Beast is in the right path.​

    • Dude Perfect use to post min 2 videos per month while Mr. Beast use to post an average of 4 videos per month. I believe Mr. Beast consistency and frequency of video uploads is related to the channels consistent growth and is a point to evaluate in the future.​
